A far way from home
So here's the scenario. You are basically a bunch of rogue Vikings sailing into a new land for the first time in search of riches to bring home (to regain honor), or just to escape the current Jarl. You have learned of a new method to cross the seas, (some kind of water compass) and have a unique ship that is more sturdy and faster than the other viking boats.
No wizards, unless you can think up of some unique lore that gives you knowledge of the arcane arts. Sorcerers/bard/warlock are ok.
No lawful good characters, I just don't think they make sense here. You broke the law, which is why you must flee.
